The 3D biomodels for the traumatology area are used for surgical planning of complex clinical cases. They allow to reduce risks, time, improve communication among the medical team, as well as with the patient and family.
These biomodels are obtained from the imaging studies performed on the patient (CT), which allows the patient’s anatomy to be replicated exactly and on a real scale.
The surgeon or the patient must provide Plan 3D with the imaging study. You can send it digitally or by mail.
Plan 3D then performs the segmentation or isolation of the tissue. Before being 3D printed, the surgeon will be able to visualize the digital model. Finally, it is 3D printed.
Plan 3D trauma biomodels can be printed in two materials:
Materials:
- PLA
- Appearance: Variety of colors.
- Resolution: Medium.
- Allows: visualization of the anatomy, premolding of osteosynthesis plates, presentation of prostheses, implants, etc.
AREAS OF APPLICATION
- Traumatology
- Surgery
