The HyperRealistic Pressure Ulcer simulator accurately reproduces the characteristics of an advanced wound, incorporating red granulating tissue that simulates healthy muscle, coarse-textured black necrotic tissue, and easily removable yellowish sphacelated tissue. It includes five spares, a rigid support and a reusable skin base, allowing for repeatable, safe and highly realistic training.

It has 3 types of fabrics:

Granulatory tissue: red color, simulates the first layer of healthy muscle.
Sphacelate tissue: yellow color, membrane that is on the granulatory tissue and is easily removed.
Necrotic tissue: black color, thick and irregular layer overlying the sphacelated tissue.

It has 4 fillers encapsulated in the ulcer refill:

Blood: it is under the granulating tissue (as in the basic ulcer).
Bloody exudate: it is the same as blood but it is between granulating tissue and sphacelated tissue.
Sphacelium: a yellowish-white pasty substance found between sphacelial membrane and necrotic tissue.
Pus: white, liquid filling under the necrotic tissue.

*In addition to the encapsulated filler, the kit contains 3 containers with the substances.
