Cristian Navarro recognized with the P!ensa 2023 Young Leaders Award

Valparaíso, March 22, 2024 – In a ceremony held on March 22nd, Cristian Navarro, designer and co-founder of Plan 3D, received the “Young Leaders“which grants P!ensa Foundation. The ceremony was attended by Gonzalo Bofill, President of Fundación P!ensa; Jaime Arnaiz, Executive Director of DV21; María Fernanda Ferreitz, Vice President of P!ensa Joven; Julián Ugarte, social entrepreneur; and Sofía Vera, Risk Manager of Mutual de Seguros.

Cristian Navarro has been highlighted for his pioneering work in digital fabrication, specifically in the creation of clinical simulators for medical training through his startup Plan 3D. These simulators aim to reduce complications and improve patients’ lives, making a significant impact both nationally and internationally.

Cristian, who was previously the coordinator of the Valparaíso Makerspace, has played a key role in highlighting the importance of the region in design and science projects. His participation in specialized congresses and his various publications in scientific research have allowed him to merge science with his creativity, promoting Valparaiso as a center of innovation.

In the words of Cristian Navarro: “Plan 3D products are born and made in Valparaíso, and with them we have reached different parts of the world. Everything has been from here and with people from here. We believe that we have a lot of potential in the region and that we must give ourselves the opportunity to be agents of change”.
